How do you come in to our outpatient clinic for a check-up before a potential operation
An examination for Bitenc Surgery services begins at the specialist outpatient clinic in Ljubljana. Our concession clinics have concluded agreements with all Slovene insurance companies. If you would like to make an outpatient-examination appointment, an appointment for endoscopy examinations (gastroscopy) or a surgical procedure, you will need a referral form, all medical documents relating to your disease and your health insurance card.
Should you decide to visit our outpatient clinic, you can make a prior appointment by phone or send the referral form to our address, not forgetting to write down your telephone number. We will inform you about your examination date over the phone. After the specialist examination, you will receive a medical report from the doctor-specialist. The specialist will recommend all potential further examinations or recommend surgical treatment. If indicated for surgical treatment, you will be placed onto the hospital admission list; you will likewise be informed of your date by phone. You will also receive all the appropriate instructions.

Outpatient facilities - located in the Zdravje Health Institute building, Vilharjev podhod 1, Ljubljana.
Surgical activities - performed at the Golnik Hospital, Golnik 36, 4204 Golnik, the building is also home to Bitenc Surgery.
How to get to Bitenc Surgery:
Ljubljana-Jesenice Motorway: exit: Kranj-zahod. From here on, follow the signs. Golnik lies along the road leading from Kranj to Tržič and nestled below Kriška gora. 12 km from Kranj and 40 km from Ljubljana. It has regular bus stops and a well-tended parking area for visitors and patients. Visitors are allowed to drive up to the main hospital entrance only when transporting a patient with poor mobility. Patients arriving with their own vehicle are guaranteed their own parking space in a well-lit parking lot, located 100 metres from the hospital entrance.
